      <description>&lt;P&gt;At the most recent Tax Professionals Webinar, it was mentioned that you could purchase a phone for under $100 that could be used to download&amp;nbsp; and operate the mygovid app using a wi-fi connection with no data plan required.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been unable to source a phone this cheap that has a full version of Android.&amp;nbsp; The all have the Go version which cannot be used.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Every salesperson I have encountered at various stores does not understand the difference in operating systems.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could someone please provide me with a list of smart phones under $100 that can be used for mygovid.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A team member has successfully been using her MyGovid.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yesterday she was unable to use it as she had an error unable to verify id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;She has downloaded the app again and put in her id and it was unable to verify her id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;She deleted the app again and put in the information but am now unable to put in the details of her id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What are we to do to get this working again?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All her id is Austrailan documentation, she has no foreign forms of id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;These are valid issues and the solution is obvious to everyone but the ATO. We should have had the ability from day 1 to change the email address. But I suspect that the ATO have designed the system where the email address is the unique identifier and thus will have great difficultly in changing things to allow for a change. How this could have been allowed by the various committees is beyond comprehension. Have they never heard of people changing employment, changing ISPs or email providers, had their mailbox hacked, been stalked, bullied, divorced or experiecned DV? Amazing lack of real world critical analysis of a system that is being forced on all taxpayers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Another valid question is 'what if you set them up using a busiess email and you leave the business.'?&amp;nbsp; No more access to personal data?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A lot of staff here only have a myGovID for work purposes to date and many are not keen (nor should they have to) to divulge personal email addresses for this purpose.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All our AUSKeys were setup using work email addresses and come across when importing them in RAM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Email addresses are &lt;U&gt;not&lt;/U&gt; unique identifiers! They were never indented to be so and should not be used as such.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;1. There isn't an option at the moment to change an email address for a Mygov ID that has already been set up. It will be an option in the future though. If you still have the app and don't need to set up Mygov ID again, then you can still continue to use the original email address to login because its essentially a user name and you won't need to access the account.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;2. Your new employee can possibly register for another Mygov ID by using two identity documents that are different from the ones they used for their first account. They would also need to use a different email address. Check out which &lt;A href="https://www.mygovid.gov.au/need-help#what_identity_documents_do_i_need_to_set_up_a_mygovid" target="_blank"&gt;identity documents that Mygov ID will accept. &lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

With the level of scam emails, SMS's and phone calls, I wouldn't recommend anyone just giving this information out over the phone without some way of being able to positively identify the caller as coming from the ATO.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How are these security concerns being addressed?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi KylieS,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a Pixel 4, the phone itself was released towards the end of last year and is completely up to date with software versions. I have followed your instructions and those laid out on the ATO website (&lt;A href="https://www.mygovid.gov.au/need-help#what_if_i_receive_an_error_message_%E2%80%98system_error" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.mygovid.gov.au/need-help#what_if_i_receive_an_error_message_%E2%80%98system_error&lt;/A&gt;). I have also spoken with the ATO who have assured me that this is a known error. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mygovID app more times that I can remember and still get the same System Error code: UNK000001.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have spoken with the ATO and been informed that next month (March) the only option we will have is to manually fill in paper BAS and submit BAS via the post (we're going back in time 30 years). This will be time consuming and expensive given that I complete multiple BASs for multiple companies.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can you please provide any further assistance to how to make the app work or the ability to bypass the app and login on a website to be able to submit information (this is my preference anyway)? We have attempted to do this, but the website than requires a validation code from the app mygovID which we can't get access to?!?!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I look forward to hopefully a successful resolution either way.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello 9aazapf.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I also have a new Samsung S10 and have had trouble since October trying to sign up to myGovID.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; However, have followed the instructions above about clearing the data and cache and it has worked; only now RAM is not working and have to wait 20 minutes to try and login again!!!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In my numerous phone calls to the "help" area at the ATO I have been told the ATO is aware of the error problem and as myGovID is still in BETA mode they are trying to fix the problem.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; However, I will say the ATO Staff were very helpful and probably just as frustrated as us.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looks like it is a Samsung (Android) problem specifically.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I was not happy about being forced to purchase a new phone as I was happy with my old one, but was only Android 6 and you must have Android 7 and above.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
Once these settings are confirmed clear the cache and data as follows:&lt;BR /&gt;
•&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Open phone Settings&lt;BR /&gt;
•&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Select Apps&lt;BR /&gt;
Select myGovID &amp;gt; Storage &amp;gt; Clear Cache and Data&lt;BR /&gt;

When you receive the CLR000003 error code, select continue. The app will then reset. It may prompt you to ‘create a myGovID' when it’s reopened. You will need to complete verification again.&lt;/P&gt;

By using the same email address you will need to enter all your personal details (name, DOB etc) exactly the same as your previous registration.&lt;/P&gt;

My client is under taking a degree is nursing where she has claimed on her tax return her fees that have been paid. The file is under ATO review, I have been speaking to the ATO employee regarding this and they have advised that is not related to her employment.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have emailed the ATO regarding a brief description on the occupation and daily duties, as well as section 8-1 as my client is studying her degree in nursing to increase her knowledge and skill in her current employement, as well as expected increase in income with her current employer. The ATO replied back with study isn't relevent and example of personal carer at nursing home who provides just personal care to residents. Can someone clarify...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;When you revoke a machine credential, it doesn’t remove the keystore file. This is the file which is actually stored on your computer. The reason you are getting the password mismatch error is because you still have a keystore file at the location identified in the keystore path when you go to create your new machine credential.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
The easiest way to resolve this, is to go into RAM, create a new machine credential, and then change the name of the keystore file in the ‘Keystore path’ field. When you go to create a machine credential, you only need to add or remove a character from the keystore name. The default is ‘keystore-new.xml’. Just change this to ‘keystore-new1.xml’ and then you can set a new keystore password.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
What you should do next is locate your old keystore file (for which you have forgotten the password) and delete it. This will save any confusion for when you create a new keystore file. The best way to do this is to note the keystore path (when you create a new machine credential) and then locate the keystore file and delete it.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You will be able to see all past history for your clients. myGovID only changes how you access the portal.&lt;/P&gt;

Remembering MyGovID essentially is all about the individuals own identity and can be used elsewhere and will be in the future even more so.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;Machine credentials represent the business only, and don’t contain any individual user . The owner of the credential should create a unique password. &lt;P&gt;The authorisation code should work once their identity strength is updated.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Normally that occurs when person who sent you the authorisation code sent the authorisation&amp;nbsp;with a slightly different name.&amp;nbsp; Check the name on the email you were sent giving you the authorisation code "Hi.xxxxx" xxxxx must be an EXACT match with the name shown in the mygovID app.&amp;nbsp; If its not get that person to resend the code with your EXACT mygovID name - either by editing in Relationship Authorisation Manager or manually adding you again in that system to send you a new email.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;This is my personal view; I’m an ATO employee who chooses to help out here in my own time&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

 &lt;LI&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Ensure your client’s device ‘language’ settings are set to English (Australia).&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Once these settings are confirmed clear the cache and data as follows:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;UL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Open phone Settings&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Select Apps&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Select myGovID &amp;gt; Storage &amp;gt; Clear Cache and Data&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;We had&amp;nbsp;a system issue which caused 2019 SMSF returns with a&amp;nbsp;concessional due date of 15 May 2020&amp;nbsp;to be incorrectly given the due date of 31 October 2019. In order to fix this issue,&amp;nbsp;any returns that weren't lodged yet were given a new&amp;nbsp;due date of 18 May 2020 (the next business day).&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;In other words, we are well aware of it and you don't need to send an online message to us about this. For any of your SMSF clients that have this due date, it is correct.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to login to the ATO tax portal but I've found that the business I'm trying to log in for is no longer listed as an option for AUSkey for some reason.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I tried to sign up for a myGovID instead but can't get past the first step of verifying my email address. After entering the verification code sent to my email, the myGovID app always displays this error:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Something went wrong&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately we will need you to start over.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;CLR000003&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've tried multiple times, always with the same result and unfortunately there's no information online regarding this error code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a way to restore AUSkey login for this particular business for the time being or a solution to the myGovID issue as I'm currently locked out and unable to report IAS and BAS.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I was advised an ATO staff member would telephone me I have not received a call&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;To make the sign-in process for myGovID fast and simple you can select the ‘remember me’ option when you log in for the first time. As long as you are using the same browser you won’t need to enter your email each time you sign in. By choosing to use the ‘remember me’ option you also won’t need to type the four-digit access code into your phone, you will receive a notification, then all you need to do is click accept and you’ll be logged in.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have a client with 2009 and 2010 returns requiring lodgement.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can we lodge paper copies via ATO Online Services for Tax Agents, via Practice Mail?&amp;nbsp; If so, how and what options should we submit this under?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rather than posting paper copies.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Our current software provider only allows lodgement of 2014 and later years.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Our old software will let us prepare a return for 2013 and earlier years, but only supported lodgment via ELS so no longer works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kind regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ari&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Machine credentials represent the business only, and don’t contain any individual user claims. The custodian of the credential will typically be the machine credential administrator (MCA) who created it. The custodian is responsible for the appropriate use and safeguarding of the credential.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you require the ability to record or track who is using a machine credential, the best option is to incorporate the name of the user into the credential name. Please be aware that this will not create an individual user claim, but will enable you to track who is using it (where a machine credential is only being used by a single user).&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Typically, individual user authentication is handled within the software itself.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If a user has multiple tax practices linked to their myGovID, then they can only access one practice at one time. However, they can easily swap between practices (without having to logout) by selecting the other Agent Numbers they have access to within the Online Services for Agents product.&lt;/P&gt;

I have attempted to transfer an Auskey users authority via RAM so they can access the ATO online services for our clients. I have one staff member that is unable to complete the migration as when&amp;nbsp; they receive and enter the authorisation code they have the following error code: REB.BR.0074.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you please advise the issue this code represents and how to rectify so that the staff meember can be authorised for our tax practice?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>
