I have received an email stating my BAS is due on November 25th for an ABN that has been cancelled. It tells me to lodge through online options which is impossible seeing as the ABN has been removed from everything I can access including our accounting software. We closed it at the end of financial year due to business structure change. Any idea on what I need to do this. The business has not traded for over 12 months and I have never received on of these before.

Could you have cancelled the ABN after the September BAS had already issued?
Is the BAS addressed to the business or to you personally?
Could it be that you've been entered into the PAYGI system and you're required to pay instalments?
