Why is the effective date March 2023, processed date 10th October 2023 and it shows balance in credit. When does issue date happen if effective date is before processed date?

Hey @mila77,

I'm assuming that the tax return you lodged was for the 2021-22 financial year with an effective date being in March 2023. This is when that tax return would have been due. Generally, the effective date is the date that we issue the refund to your bank. The processed date is the date that it's been processed by us. If it's been lodged late, then the effective date is going to show as the date the tax return was due.

You can view the estimated issue date by checking the progress of your return. The NOA issue date is usually the date your funds will be issued to your bank.
