I'm trying to apply for a TFN online as an Australian citizen. I was born overseas and never lived in Australia, but plan to move soon. I've gone through the steps of creating a myID and getting Strong ID verification.
I get stuck in the application process after I list my country of birth, it asks me for "Date of arrival in Australia". What can I put here? I live overseas and the system won't accept any date in the future.

If you're applying from outside Australia you'll use this application form. Otherwise if you wait until you arrive, you'll get you TFN straight away when you apply online with your myID.

Thanks! It's a shame Australians abroad can't use the online form to get a TFN and have to use the paper process.
