I have applied for compassionate super. Don’t have much just 9000 as had to leave Australia permanently because of my autoimmmjne blood finding and need support. My family and all friends are in Malta as I had only lived in Australia for 15 years. Before I left I could hardly work and my credit card has 10000 dollars on it. I applied and am hoping that my super will pay for this as I am now in treatment in Malta not earning money to cover all this and oncology are still running tests.

why does it still say pending and if they need more proof would they ask as really do noonish to be rejected as this is very stressful and stress consultant said is the worst thing.

I am an Australian citizen

Hello @darmaninsandra,

Very sorry to hear about your current situation.

Just to clarify, have you applied for the medical treatment compassionate release of super category?

If so, did you supply 2 x medical reports, one from a specialist and one from either another specialist or a GP? Plus quotes or invoices for the treatment/expenses?

Or were you applying for compassionate release to pay off your credit card?

The service standard for processing these is 14 days for online applications and 28 days for postal ones.

If they need more info from you, they'll give you a call. 👍

Hi I applied hoping to pay off my card and it got rejected. I sent all my blood tests and reports and reply said come back and reapply with reports however they do not know yet what is wrong with my T cells. I’m not sure what to do as my dr there is unreachable and I am now permanently in Malta. I only have 9k in my super and this will cover the card. What do you suggest?
