The business portal Activity statement that I use is simplified. G7 does not appear. Only 1A and 1B are displayed. How can I change the business portal layout to enable G7 for entry?

Hi @ab2,

Thanks for your question!

If you are reporting using Simpler BAS, you will be unable to report any figures at label G7. You would need to be on the "Full" Reporting method for GST in order to report figures at label G7.

You can contact us to request a change to your GST reporting method, but it would only take effect from 1 July 2019. If you are trying to report label G7 on your June 19 quarter activity statement, this will not be possible.

You may wish to use the GST calculation worksheet to help you work out the labels for 1A and 1B when G7 is taken into consideration. Though this calculation worksheet cannot be lodged with the ATO, you can save a copy for your records.

Hope this helps,

Rachael B.
