Hi there,

I have registered for MygovID and while accessing the business portal, I'm having the following issues:-

Hi @RAVINDER,

Thank you for contacting us. Have you already linked your business to RAM?

You can link your ABN if you are the principal authority. By this we mean:

  • a sole trader
  • an eligible individual associate listed on an Australian business number (ABN) in the Australian Business Register (ABR) – for example a trustee, director, public officer, partner, or an office bearer of a club or association
    • a primary person (no individual associates listed in the ABR) who holds one of the following roles, for a: ◦
    • company – the director or public officer for the corporate trustee or subsidiary company
    • government entity – the authorised contact
    • Australian charity or not-for-profit organisation – the director or public officer of the corporate trustee or subsidiary company or the Responsible Person
    • deceased estate – the director or public officer of the corporate trustee or subsidiary company
    • unincorporated association – the office holder.

You can refer to this page for instructions on how to link your ABN to RAM.

Thanks! HazelC

Hi ravinder,

Where you able to resolve this issue?
I have same issue and I have linked my Govid to RAM, tried logging through different operating systems and different browsers and contacted ATO but no resolution yet.

Would be great, if you could share your resolution.

Thanks

I have had the same issue for a couple of months now with no luck. I am thinking to believe is this an issue only for users who have just a lastname and no given name. Just a guess. i may be completely off track. It could be the only thing as License, Medicare need a given name and last name while digital identity is based on Passport / Citizenchip cert/ Birth cert which have the option of onlyhaving just a last name.

In the past I have been able to access business portal using mygov with no issues. so the issue would need to be in the identity held.

Hi

I think you are right, becasue I have only first name/single name not have any family or surname.

When I have contacted with ATO about the issue, they advise me to check with concerned departments (License and Medicare) to confirm whether your name is written under Given name or Family name, but still can't access business portal. Mygov was working very fine, I don't understand, why they have replaced it with MyGovID.

If you got any solution, please share.

Thanks
