Hello,
My husband started in a new job in early April and therefore was not eligble for job keeper through the employer which led to him losing that job.
To try and make a living, he has started a sole trader business where he had work booked in for the coming months. Most of this work was in Melbourne and now it has been cancelled due to the new wave of lockdown.
As per the current criteria, it doesnt seem he is eligible. Is there any test/something we can do to explain individual circumstances which would change this
Is it likely the eligibility date will be changed to relfect this latest stage of lockdown? It's very unfair for those who have made decisions based on lockdown being over and now everything has changed again.
Due to still receiving minimal income, he does not qualify for job seeker.
I would appreciate any support or reccomendations.
Thanks
Katelyn
Unless the eligibility rules are changed in the future, he is not eligible for Jobkeeper
