Hi, I’m a sole trader, and have just started receiving the job keeper allowance. Can I still keep working and earning extra, if so how will that extra affect my May payments? And do I have to show the job keeper as part of my income when lodging my next months claim?

Hey there. Yes, keep working

If you have qualified once, your future income will not affect our future JK payments. They actually WANT your income to increase.

You have to declare your income each month, but this is just so they can track and see if JK works (and helps businesses to increase their income)

Your JK payment is considered income (you will have to pay tax on it at a later date) so you do include it in your declared income. See https://community.ato.gov.au/t5/COVID-19-response/Job-Keeper-for-sole-trader-with-zero-employees-doe...
