JobKeeper Employee Requirements

Regarding the JobKeeper subsidy, there has been a lot of confusion on whether or not certain employees are eligible for the subsidy itself, if an individual was hired by a company on a full time basis after March the 1st and is currently still employed by that company, are they still eligible for the subsidy? Or is it purely employees that were employed at the 1st of March.

Hi @Markus12345

Thanks for raising your question in our Community.

We don't have any further info on what happens in this scenario as yet unfortunately as it hasn't been defined in the factsheets.

The Job Keeper payment is being discussed in Parliament this week and could undergo changes before it becomes law. As soon as it passes we will be keeping our Job Keeper news article up to date to assist you.

There is further information on the Treasury website and an information page. We will also be keeping our newsfeed up to date with the latest information.

You can also register your interest for updates on our website, just complete the form online – there is no need call us.

Stay safe in this challenging time we live in.
