Hi ATO Community,

Deeply appreciate your help and support on this one.

There does not appear to be any definitive information on the ATO website in regards to enrolling for the JobKeeper payment after the 31st of May 2020 - whether for a sole trader/business participant and/or an employer/employee scenarios.

Would a business that is not currently eligible for the months of April and May 2020 that may become eligible say in June, July, August and/or September able to enrol and receive this payment if say they enrol in any of these months e.g. if the business becomes eligible in July 2020, then can they enrol for the JobKeeper Payment anytime throughout the months of June or July 2020 ?

There is a lot of information or reference to the cut-off date being the 31st of May 2020 to be eligible to receive the payments in April and/or May 2020.  However there appears to be no mention of being able to enrol past this date other than an assumption that businesses would be able to enrol anytime from April through to September 2020 though if they wish to receive payments for April and May 2020 then they would need to enrol by this cut-off date of the 31st of May 2010?

Hi @susans

31 May 2020 is the final date to enrol if you want to claim for JobKeeper fortnights in April and May.

If you’re not currently eligible for April and May but you become eligible in a later month, your assumption is correct. You will be able to enrol by the end of that month. For example, if you become eligible in July, you will be able to complete Steps 1 and 2 (enrol and nominate your eligible employees) by the end of July.
