Can someone confirm that part-time PhD students receiving a Research Training Program (RTP) scholarship are eligible to receive JobKeeper from an a primary employer? I have seen an answer for full-time students (the RTP for full time students isn't taxable) but I havent seen a reply for part-time RTP scholarships. The RTP shouldn't be considered employment as it is for education purposes but it is treated as taxable income if part-time.
As mentioned in our other thread on Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarships and JobKeeper Eligibility, your scholarship will not impact your JobKeeper eligibility as an employee as a scholarship is not employment.
