Jobkeeper or Jobseeker?

Hi,

I have recently been approved for JobSeeker as a sole trader. I still have my position when work is open again (I work as an in-house escort, I understand the work that I do comes under a bit of a grey area), however I am not working privately so I have no income except for JobSeeker and my husbands pay as he is still working. I have an ABN and lodge was paying my tax bills like any other regular sole trader worker. I have no one working for me - I just work for myself.

I recently found out sole trader scan apply for Jobkeeper.. Am I eligible for JobKeeper or should I just stick with what I have now? I apologise as I know lots of similar questions have been asked, but I had to ask due to what I do for work.

Thank you Smiley Happy

Hi @TaylorBeutel

Thanks for contacting our ATO Community with your question.

You can check your eligibility to apply for Job Keeper from the information in our JobKeeper for Sole traders and other entities information on our website. You can also look at the Sole Trader Guide we have recently provided.

If you apply for and are eligible for JobKeeper, you will need to let Services Australia know as this may affect your Jobseeker or other payments.

You can also keep an eye on our ATO Community newsfeed as this is regularly updated with new and changed information.

Hope this is useful.
