Jobkeeper - payment times for Employees

Jobkeeper rules require that each Fortnight's minimum $1500 wage is paid WITHIN that fortnight. ATO has kindly extended the due date of FN1 and FN2 to 8th May. But what about FN3? It's ending on 10th May which is a Sunday. Normally employers pay wages a few days after end of a FN. Do we now have to pay wages for FN ending 10th May on Friday the 8th May?

Hi @CherylXYZ

Thanks for contacting ATO Community.

When and how much do we pay employees?

Eligible employers will need to pay eligible employees a minimum of $1,500 (before tax) each JobKeeper fortnight. These payments should be made in line with your existing pay cycle through your existing payroll solution.

See this thread: JobKeeper – tax, super and annual leave

I really hope this information helps you and you remain safe and well during this difficult time.
