Jobkeeper

I have a full time employee that we are receiving Jobkeeper for.  He has asked to take two weeks off unpaid leave to go work for himself for two weeks as a handyman, can he legally do this as we have work for him here.  It seems like double dipping to me.

Hi @BronwynK,

You mentioned that your employee has requested to take "unpaid leave" meaning you will not pay him for the 2weeks he is taking off, so technically they are not "double dipping".

Though they can actually continue receiving JobKeeper payments from you and have other employment income as long as the maintain their employment with you. You can find this answer under employees frequently asked questions.
