Hi there,

1. One of our client is a political party, they receive pledge from other state (same party but different ABN). Would the pledged be considered as GST turnover for JK 2.0 purposes?

2. Political party client received donation from individuals, would that be considered as GST turnover?

Hi @harryhoang20,

These are great questions.

Yes, a pledge would be part of the political parties GST turnover for JobKeeper purposes.  It is considered an entry into, or release from, an obligation.

No, a donation is not included in the calculation of GST turnover for JobKeeper purposes.  We view them as a payment for no supply.
