Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

We have a client that has been paying their 17 year old casuals that meet the criteria the Jobkeeper payment. Now that Treasury have come out and said that a non finanically independent 17 year will not be eligible for the jobkeeper, can the employer still claim this for the payments she has made, and do the payments have to cease immediately.

Hi @Channell-9623 and @PWHair

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. They can be eligible for the fortnights before 11 May, but not after. So yes, they should be able to claim the fortnights before that date that have already been paid.

Thanks, Nate
