Hi.
My husband is full time employee.
Recently injured himself, not at work, now requires surgery. He is unable to return to work Until he has surgery. We want to redraw on our super to cover cost of surgery.
Is this possible?

Hi @cwhelan16

There's information on the ATO website in regards to Early Access on Compassionate Grounds. From a quick overview it looks like medical treatment is a valid reason.

I'd have a thorough read through of the below link to get started:

https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Super/In-detail/Withdrawing-and-using-your-super/Early-access-on-...

I hope this helps

Thank you for your reply.
Just wasn’t too sure as we didn’t really fall under those categories. Since found some forms for Compassionate grounds for medical. Will speak with dr tomorrow. Thank you
