Trying to understand how we are required to report Job Keeper Payments received from the ATO in BAS?

Normally Income reported includes a GST component.  Job Keeper Payment Refunds are cash to cover payments paid to teammembers which are GST exempt.   So in terms of the BAS do we report actual Sales Income as per normal?

Hi @JARRLFT,

The JobKeeper payment is not consideration for supply therefore not included in your GST turnover. For more information refer to Government grants in Law Companion Ruling 2020/1.

However, if you are registered for PAYG Withholding then you would still report total salary/wages etc and withheld amounts as per usual.
