Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

I enrolled about ten days ago for JobKeeper as a sole trader.  I don't have any employees.  When can I expect a response and/or payment?

Hi LynH,

The legislation says the commissioner has 14 days from the date of lodgement to make payment so you should see it shortly.

ATO says they have a goal of payment within 5 days, but people I have spoken with say they are generally receiving payment within 2 to 3 weeks.

Hang in there!
