Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

My client is a church. They registered for jobkeeper on 1 May but neglected to lodge their monthly declarations. Can this be corrected by lodging the May and June monthly declarations aftre the due dates?

HI @RobertJCampbell

No, the system won't allow them to declare for past months and we cannot backdate the JobKeeper payment either.

Your client might need to keep an eye on our key dates page which advises to make a business monthly declaration each month to claim JobKeeper payments for the previous month. They need to do this between the 1st and 14th of the month (for example, to be reimbursed for JobKeeper payments in June you need to complete your declaration by 14 July).
