Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

Hi

We have a case where an employee has had her hours temporarily reduced during lockdown in line with her jobkeeper payments. Hours have been reduced to 22 hours a week from her regular 26 hours a week.

My question is ... in relation to recording long service leave accrual in our client's accounting software, is it accrued on her now reduced hours of 22 or her old hours of 26 hours a week?

Many thanks in advance!
