Jobkeeper 2.0 eligibility for casual employees- tier 1 or tier 2

Hi

We have a long-term casual employee on the job keeper scheme since July. He was working less than 80 hours in Feb and June. However, he worked more than 80 hours in Jan 2020 and has been worked over 20 hours a week since July. Should he be eligible for tier 1 or tier 2 for the jobkeeper extension?

Thanks

Linda

Hi @LINDALAN,

An employee's reference period will always be a period before 1 July or 1 March.

There is no discretion for you to apply a post-1 July or 1 March reference period.

As @SM2304 has said, the employee will be tier 2.
