Hi - I have an employee who was recieving the paid parenting allowance from Centrelink through our business whilst she is on maternity leave. This payment has now ended, and she is asking whether she is eligible for Jobkeeper. She is not due to return from Maternity Leave until early next year. Thanks

Hi @StuartRC,

Thanks for posting.

Questions regarding maternity leave and JobKeeper have come up a bit in the forums, and here's a relatively similar one to yours.

If she's an eligible employee taking paid or unpaid maternity leave, then she'll still be entitled to receive JobKeeper payments through you long as she's not simultaneously receiving:

- Government Parental Leave or Dad and Partner Pay
- A payment in accordance with Australian workers compensation law for an individual's total incapacity for work

FairWork Australia also provide some in-depth information regarding pay and leave during COVID-19 if this may be of help?

All the best!
