6 weeks and still waiting on FHSSS funds...is this normal?

Hi all,

We submitted a request to release funds from Hostplus under the FHSSS in September (MyGov ATO portal shows request date of 28/9/2018 next to the Hostplus fund details). The received, payment, and withholding columns are blank, with a "pending" mark.

On the ATO site it mentions a timeframe of 'up to 25 business days' from the date the release is requested. Have others had similar wait times?

Getting a little worried, as we are about to be in a position to make an offer on a house, and we obviously can't do it before we receive the FHSSS funds without breaching the requirements.

Hi @Christian,

Thanks for posting.

When you submit a FHSS scheme release request, we’ll send your super fund a release authority asking them to send us your requested amount.  Your super fund has 10 business days to action this authority.

In our online services, the status of your release request will show as ‘Pending’ until we receive the actioned authority and a payment from your super fund, or your fund advises they are unable to release some, or all, of your super.

Once we’ve received this information from your fund, the status of your release request will update.

You may want to contact your super fund to confirm if they have received and actioned the FHSS release authority.

If you’ve already done this and your fund has advised they either haven’t received the release authority or have already actioned it, you can phone us on 13 10 20, 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, to discuss this with one of our customer service representatives.

Thanks, NicM.
