if I have a cancelled ABN and wish to reapply.. will I be issued with a new number or will the old number be reinstated?

Hi @adambjj

 

You need to reapply for the ABN (Reactivation) via the Australia Business register.

https://abr.gov.au/For-Business,-Super-funds---Charities/Applying-for-an-ABN/

During the process you will need to complete the ABN entitlement tool, if you are entitled to an ABN you proceed through to the application. The application will ask you if you have previously had an ABN, if you do not provide the ABN this may delay the registration process.
