We are Australians who currently reside in New Zealand. We have owned a house in Australia since 1994 and lived in it with our family until we moved to NZ in 2015. It was and still is our principal place of residence in Australia. Since moving to NZ our children have remained in our family home. They pay no rent and we pay all outgoings. We still have a room there, personal belongings, a car, still have mail delivered there and all utilities and rates etc are in our names and we pay for these. I would spend approximately 13 weeks in Australia each year at this residence. We have now sold it. And we need a clearing certificate. I understand we need a variation. How do we get this?
