If I were to convert units in a managed fund to their ASX listed ETF equivalent would I be able to apply a rollover for any capital gains and or losses associated?

Hi JakeE,

Thanks for your patience.

No,  when you sell units in a managed fund you need to calculate CGT outcomes. There is no rollover that can be applied when you buy into an exchanged traded fund with the proceeds from selling the managed fund units- irrespective of the similarity of the assets held in the two investments.

Thanks
