Hi,

As an employer that provides Fringe Benefits are we able to accept declarations from employees (not physically signed) sent through work email (with an email signature)? The email is individual to each user and password protected.

For example can we accept a travel diary sent via a work email (completed electronically and not signed using e-signature software or physically signed and scanned)?

Hi @Candice

Welcome to our Community!

Yes, you can accept an FBT employee declaration electronically with their electronic signature if:

  • you consented to the method of electronic signature
  • the electronic declaration is readily accessible and understandable, and convertible into written English, in order to determine your FBT liability.

You can find this information and more about FBT Employee declarations on our website.

Thanks, JodieH.
