Worried you’re missing part of your refund? Remember, the low and middle income tax offset isn’t a refund on its own – it’s used to offset (or reduce) the amount of tax you pay. The offset amount you may be entitled to is automatically applied and could range between $255-$1080, depending on things like your taxable income and how much tax you’ve paid.

I am in the process of lodging my tax online but I can not see my HECS/Fee-Help debt anywhere.

Where am I meant to add this in my online lodgement?

Thanks

Hi @jwashingtonking

Thanks for getting in touch!

@wonka5 is correct - you're FEE HELP debt isn't reported in your income tax return so you can lodge your return without details of your debt.

You can find information in our article Paying my HELP debt on our Community.

Thanks, JodieH.

You don’t need to add it. It will be automatically calculated for you.
