Hi! If We are tax agent, On the notify ATO screen when we are setting up single touch payroll, do we have to creat new Access Manger login for our client? Or we just simply put in the software ID in Our tax agent’s Access Manager to notify ATO? Thanks

Hi @Cara,

Thanks for your question!

If you are going to be lodging STP pay event reports on behalf of your client through your own software, you will complete the notification using your own Access Manager login. Your digital services provider should have given you a specific SSID to use for clients - this is the one you will need to attach to your ABN in Access Manager.

If you are lodging using the client's software, then your client would need to set up the appropriate Access Manager login, and complete the notification themselves with the SSID that they were given by their own digital services provider. Their SSID would need to be attached to their ABN.

In the second instance, you cannot complete the notification on behalf of your clients online. They will need to do it themselves, or you will need to call us to complete it on their behalf over the phone.

Hope this helps,

Rachael B.
