"We won't force employers with 19 or less employees to purchase payroll software if they don’t currently use it. Different STP reporting options will be available by 1 July 2019 to help smaller employers."

 

What if we have to pay to upgrade our payroll software, will we still be exempt? Will this encompass a SSP solution as well or will that need to be sourced seperately?

How much can we expect a service like this to cost?  Will ALL SSPs require a product or software ID from the employer?

Thanks for following up. Proposed legislation can be changed up until the point it receives Royal Assent, so we can't advise on specific matters until the bill is passed.

We've published a list of 31 software providers who are providing low cost STP solutions for small businesses. You can contact them directly if you wish to discuss your needs and find out what solutions they may offer.
