Hi,

My income are tax ready. Why am I not able to lodge my tax return (i.e. my account shows lodgement all up to date)?

Thank you!

There are a few reasons, but the only way to know for sure would be to ring the ATO. Probably not what you want to hear, but the best answer I can give

Hi @Winnie and @Teva,

For most people, the due date for the 2020 income tax return is the 31st of October 2020. This could be why the system is telling you that all lodgments are currently up to date as the 2020 income tax return is not overdue yet.

To lodge your 2020 income tax return, you will need to;

1. Log into your ATO online services

2. Select tax
3. Select lodgments

4. Select income tax

From there, you should have the option to lodge your 2020 income tax return.

Hope this helps!
