Locate any superannuation not ato held

I'd like to know how I can go about getting precise information on the whereabouts of my current total super ampunt (previously consolidated from multiple minor accounts). Most recent action on ATO was request for release of super that'd been held to a Mercer Pty Ltd fund I created at the same time, specifically for receipt of my ATO held funds. Since a clerical error with Mercer caused a rejection of the funds to that account I cannot get any insight as to what is likely to have happened subsequently, where the funds may have been returned to and/or how I might get this info. I'd appreciate a response at the earliest possible opportunity as I am in dire need of the total funds available as at time of my last balance summary. Many thanks

@Emma_B1981that is a hard one, I am guessing that you have checked the super listed on your mygov account. That information is reported to the ATO from the super funds.

Have you done a lost super search, there is information on this page about lost and unclaimed super.

https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/super/growing-your-super/keeping-track-of-your-super/

If none of this works the only place to go is back to where the funds were. The ATO can only help with what has been reported to them.
