Fuel expense for property management job

Hi, I am an employee working in a property management company. I need to drive my own car to different places for inspections on a regular basis. However, my employer does not provide any fuel compensation. Can I deduct part of the fuel expenses used for work in the tax declaration?

The ATO will have a webpage on car / travel expenses - have a read of that.

 

Basically yes, but unless you have a log book or have other evidence of the nuber of kms you travelled it will be hard to substantiate a claim
