Missing HELP Compulsory Repayment Credit from 2015

I have just gone online to check my HECS/HELP balance, and have just noticed that I don't have a "HELP Compulsory Repayment Credit" for 2015. The indexation was applied that year, but definitely not the Compulsory Repayment Credit (and my HECS/HELP balance remains unaffected from the year before unitl the following year (2016), whereby the credit has been applied. There is no reason why the repayment credit should not show in 2015 - as I was with the same employer in 2014 and 2016.

Not sure who I should speak with about this? Could this have been an error made by my employer at the time (i.e. they did not submit/pay the amounts withheld from my salary for HECS/HELP?).

Any guidance which can be offered would be appreciated.

Hi @ ArturoDLF,

Thanks for your question?

Great idea from @onestoptax to check your return. Also check out our Study and training loan repayment calculator  to check if you were required to make a compulsory repayment in 2015.

Also, have a look at our knowledge base article on Paying my HELP debt?

Thanks

Hi ArturoDLF

First check your 2015 tax return summary report to see if you have made any HELP Compulsory Repayment in that year.
