Can I lodge a tax return even though I have missed a few years due to no employment between financial years 2016 and 2019?

Hi @jonathanwibrow,

You can lodge despite being unemployed.

You can use our online calculator to determine whether you have to lodge tax returns for those years. If the calculator determines you don't have to lodge, you are required to submit a non-lodgement advice form for those years, which can be done via ATO Online.

Hope this helps!
