Hi,
My workplace has asked me to work interstate for one week. I will be driving my own car the entire time. I understand that travel between home and work is not tax deductible. But every day I will be driving my car from the hotel to the office and back, can I claim these KMs as a tax deduction as it will be entirely work-related travel? Or does the hotel count as my "home"?

HI @blanket257,

Thanks for reaching out.

We have information on our website about travel between home and work and between workplaces.

There is also information about what you can claim and what you can’t claim.

I hope this helps.
