Hi there,

I am looking to confirm in regards to the taxing of working holday makers, whether the $37,000 threshhold can be reset if a WHM starts a new visa during a financial year? Or if the threshholds simply applies to the individual, irrelevant of whether they are on their 1st, 2nd or 3rd WHM visa?

Thanks for the help.

Angela

Hi @Angela22

Good question.

Information on how working holiday makers are taxed is detailed on our web page.

It is not taxed on how much you can earn per visa but on your total income in a financial year.

The financial year in Australia is from 1 July current year  to 30 June the following year.

Hope this is helpful.
