Hi there,

Can I please check if we report exempt foreign income in single touch reporting, is the figure going to show in employee's MyGov income statement?

I know we don't need to report this to ATO currently. Just want to check if we do report this ATO, if employee can see it from MyGov. Because currently we need to manually generate exempt income statement at year end which is time consuming.

Thank you!

Regards,

Connie

Hi @LXFMAIL

When you report a payment through STP, it will automatically form part of the employee's income statement. Employees can view their income statements through their online services, and it will even pre-fill in their tax return.

If you finalise their payments through STP at the end of the year, you'll no longer need to provide a payment summary to the employee because of this. Smiley Happy

You can read about what you need to report in STP on our website.
