Dear Ato, I hope that you are all healthy and doing well. Last Friday, I tried to call ATO to backdate my existing ABN. The reason I needed to backdate it is because I was doing a secondary job earlier however I was unable to get some assist. I’m not upset or anything cos I do know that during this time, there might be some major delays and unforeseen circumstances. Could you kindly please enlighten me on how do I backdate it? or do I need to cancel the existing ABN and then register a fresh new ABN.
