I am a sole trader and often have to see a physiotherapist due to my work strain. Can i claim these as claimable expense. Also if i was to have operation could i claim this as well. I do not have private health

Thank you for reaching out to us. Medical expenses T5 are no longer claimable in the general sense. Please be advised -

This tax offset ceased on 1 July 2019 (20192020 and future years).

From 2015-16 to 2018-19, the expenses a client could claim were restricted to disability aids, attendant care or aged care.

They are not deductible. 

(and the old medical offset mentioned above was not a deduction.)
