I have an employee who wants to use the company's default super fund account.  I found this extract on this site to help me set this up:

 

 

To register a new employee that has chosen the default fund to have their super paid to, follow the steps below:

  1. Select Employees tab and select Add.

  2. Complete employees personal information in the Add employees section.

  3. Complete employee employment details in Add employee section

  4. Complete employee postal address details

  5. Select Add button next to Superannuation fund(s) heading

  6. select the Default fund radio button if the employee hasn't advised of a super fund and has chosen to use your default fund.

  7. complete the Super funds details

  8. Select save button.

  9. Select submit button


     

    However, at point 6, I select the radio button for Default Fund and then submit, the record states that the update is successful but when I look at the member's details again the "Choice Radio Button" is selected and not the Default!

The default super radio button needs to be set in order for the super company to set up a new account for this employee.

 

Can anyone help please?

Thanks for your patience whilst we had your query looked into by a specialist area!

 

If the default fund is selected at step 6, this effectively brings across the default fund details from the employers registration screen. There has been a technical issue which writes the “choice fund” fields, however all this information that should be there should relate to the default fund.

 

If you still have concerns we would suggest that you phone our SBSCH area on 1300-660-048 between 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday to speak with an operator and check the information is correct.

This doesn't sound like a question for the ATO.

 

This sounds like a question for whoever the software provider is for the software you're using.

 

Or are you trying to set up a new employee via the small business super clearing house?

 

I'm an ATO employee voluntarily providing my time here
