Hi

As a qualified bookkeeper working under a Registered BAS agent, I have recently had to complete a few SGCS for late super on behalf of company's that we work for. The SGCS form that is generated, is not generated with a PRN or EFT payment number. This is making it difficult for our clients to make their payments. How do they make payment on the the SGCS form????

Hi @MIRWA,

Welcome to our Community!

Generally, when submitting a super guarantee statement electronically via the Business portal, the Payment Reference Number (PRN) should be displayed on the receipt page. You may also be able to locate a PRN through the Business portal by:

  • selecting 'payment options' from the left menu, then
  • choose the relevant PRN.

You can find information on how to pay on our website, or alternatively, an authorised contact can phone us on 13 10 20 between 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday to speak with an operator and request a PRN/ EFT code. Please let us know if you're still experiencing this issue.

Thanks, JodieH.

Hi Jodie

The Late Super lodgement is done using the SGCS through the ATO website and not through the Portal.  You have to generate the form, print it off, sign it and post it in...and make payment on it. Late Super payments are not able to be generated through the portal. I would like to know if I am correct in that the PRN number is the same on every form...as it is when making BAS payments?

Hi @MIRWA,

Thanks for your additional information!

If you're using the SGC calculator tool on the ATO website, this will not generate a PRN. This tool is used to complete SGC statements and will calculate nominal and administration charges, which can be printed and kept for record keeping or sent in with a cheque for payment.

If you have previously had an SG statement of account, you can use this PRN, as long as it's the same SG account. Alternatively, the clients can contact the ATO to obtain the PRN.

Thanks, JodieH.
