Hi,

Is it ok to provide 2 primary documents along with the "ATO Use of Basic myGovID" form, rather than 1 primary document and 1 secondary document?. I do not have any of the secondary documents, except for the marriage certificate but that has to be used as confirmation of name change so can't also be used as a secondary document. I'm reluctant to post my certified copies to Australia without confirming requirements first, as the Australian High Commission charges a lot to get copies certified and I don't want to lose these copies!!!! Many thanks for your help.

Hi @Nic99

Thank you for reaching out to our forum.

As per our webpage accessing our online services with a Basic myGovID , the two documents required means that at least one must be a primary document.

It is acceptable to provide two primary documents such as:

  • Australian full birth certificate
  • Australian passport
  • foreign birth certificate
  • foreign passport.

Hope this is helpful for you.
