Traveller left Ausralia in March to work on project in Dubai for Australian company - on return was forced to fly to Brisbane - remote work is still being undertaken for the client whislt in mandatory quarantine (home base Sydney). What deductions are available:

Mandatory Quarantine - as still on business trip - this would be considered a hotel and accommodation expense as not in home city

Reasonable benefit allowance - set amount with no receipts

Hi @Wally894,

Have a look at the state government health website for your state or territory because they may have assistance available.

Unfortunately, there aren't any available deductions for mandatory quarantine.

Fair Work has pay and leave options that are worth looking at as well.

Please contact our early engagement team about the idea of reasonable travel allowance because the employee still worked.

I really hope this helps.
