I have participated and paid an international online IT course to gain some more skills and resulted some increasement on my annual salary. I have only online generated receipt from the seller in different currency.

  1. Can I claim this expense? (It's for work related and paid from my own pocket)
  2. If I can claim How to calculate exchange rate?

@bnesys

As it has led to an increase in your salary then you should be able to claim it.

Hi @bnesys,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You can claim the self education expenses if your self-education relates to your current work activities as an employee and meet the course eligibility requirements.

As @macfanboy suggested please find details on our website for Foreign exchange rates.

Hope you find this helpful.
