      <description>&lt;P&gt;At the most recent Tax Professionals Webinar, it was mentioned that you could purchase a phone for under $100 that could be used to download&amp;nbsp; and operate the mygovid app using a wi-fi connection with no data plan required.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been unable to source a phone this cheap that has a full version of Android.&amp;nbsp; The all have the Go version which cannot be used.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Every salesperson I have encountered at various stores does not understand the difference in operating systems.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could someone please provide me with a list of smart phones under $100 that can be used for mygovid.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A team member has successfully been using her MyGovid.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yesterday she was unable to use it as she had an error unable to verify id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;She has downloaded the app again and put in her id and it was unable to verify her id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;She deleted the app again and put in the information but am now unable to put in the details of her id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What are we to do to get this working again?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;All her id is Austrailan documentation, she has no foreign forms of id.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;I think I accidentally clicked the option 'I no longer need to lodge tax return' in my non lodgement advice of 2019 financial year. The online account now is not showing anything regarding my 2019 lodgement. I'm a bit worried if this will affect my future tax return because I will start working a week later.&lt;BR /&gt;I might be asking something stupid as this is the first time I use this. My client is under taking a degree is nursing where she has claimed on her tax return her fees that have been paid. The file is under ATO review, I have been speaking to the ATO employee regarding this and they have advised that is not related to her employment.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have emailed the ATO regarding a brief description on the occupation and daily duties, as well as section 8-1 as my client is studying her degree in nursing to increase her knowledge and skill in her current employement, as well as expected increase in income with her current employer. The ATO replied back with study isn't relevent and example of personal carer at nursing home who provides just personal care to residents. Can someone clarify...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Contact the person who authorised you.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to login to the ATO tax portal but I've found that the business I'm trying to log in for is no longer listed as an option for AUSkey for some reason.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I tried to sign up for a myGovID instead but can't get past the first step of verifying my email address. After entering the verification code sent to my email, the myGovID app always displays this error:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Something went wrong&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately we will need you to start over.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;CLR000003&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've tried multiple times, always with the same result and unfortunately there's no information online regarding this error code.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a way to restore AUSkey login for this particular business for the time being or a solution to the myGovID issue as I'm currently locked out and unable to report IAS and BAS.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Firstly I had to buy a new phone (even though there is nothing wrong with the old one) and now it is not recognising the names on my identity documents. The first document I uploaded was my birth certificate (which may be the issue because it is in my maiden name). I have since scanned/entered my medicare card and passport multiple times but it is saying the names / DOB do not match. I have tried uninstalling/re-installing, plus clearing the data/cache and nothing seems to work. I cant ring during office hours so need to try and sort it out over the weekend (or after hours).       <description>&lt;P&gt;Why is there no warning to married ladies to &lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;not&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;/U&gt;use your birth certificate &lt;U&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;if their name differs&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/U&gt;.&amp;nbsp; As this will lock up the security system on the MygovID app and you have to uninstall and start again.&amp;nbsp; I have spent hours on setting this up. Finally got in to ATO site using the MygovID, which was prompting me to increase by ID status.&amp;nbsp; So I did. The only option given, was to load up my birth certificate.&amp;nbsp; Could not use Medicare card.&amp;nbsp; Had already used Drivers License and Passport. And whammo did as asked and the app on my phone is locked.&amp;nbsp; ATO advised to uninstall and start again.&amp;nbsp; Why can't it use a marriage certificate?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If a team member has the MyGovID app on their personal phone and it is lost/stolen, we have been advised that this is a potential privacy breach and that we have to report this to all of our clients as a potential breach.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The reason it has been said that it is a breach is because the phone has MyGovID on it and the password is most likely stored on the phone or the personal accesses their phone using faceID.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have an issue with this as it doesn’t look good to our clients reporting something like this and reduces their level of trust in us.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We also have the issue that legally we cannot control our team members private phones and tell them how to store information and what kind of security it should have on the phone. Therefore there is an increased risk of our tax agent portal data being accessed by organised thieves or even maliciously from disgruntled employees who haven’t left our employ yet.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Which shows clearly the client is a director.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But when they have called you to link him to trust Trust (Trading entity) you have advised the trustee company needs a TFN and that is the only way you can link him. This is false information, a trustee company does NOT require a TFN as it does not trade.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Surely you can check ASIC to check that the client is indeed a director?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

All other staff members (i.e. onsite, not overseas) of this practice can only have a Basic ID with very limited access to what we can do on the Online service. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is there a way to expand the access rightaway? I understand that the following shows a list of things a person with basic mygovid can't do. It is very frustrating because what if the principal is not at work on a particular day (i.e. sick leave, attending conference, annual leave)?       <description>&lt;P&gt;• The ATO requirement for the Public Officer (in our case the CFO) to initiate the transition to MyGovID is challenging given we have to use the CFO’s phone to initiate etc (this could take a few hours)…….even though this is a one off event.&lt;BR /&gt;• This is being done during reporting season and going live end of March – between the preparation of results, presenting, the roadshow (onshore and offshore), a lot of corporates will struggle for timing.&lt;BR /&gt;• The initial transition to MyGovID removes the current administrator of AUSkeys from assisting with the deployment. Why can’t the current AUSkey be used for the transitioning process?&lt;BR /&gt;• Have the ATO spent any time at all to consider how they could make it easier for corporates to transition? Perhaps have some form of automation so that Auskeys transfer to MyGov once the CFO has access?&lt;BR /&gt;• If the MyGovID app does not meet the security requirements/policies of AGL there is no recourse action available.&lt;BR /&gt;• We think that maybe, we have a dedicated iPad that is linked to the CFO and is used for only MyGov activity. If and when the CFO changes, we would have to use that device?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;• Do you know how other corporates dealt with the linkage between the Public Officer and MyGovID?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>myGovID app not opening</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have down loaded the myGovID app onto my mobile.( Ihone 6S iOs 13.3 )&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;completed all the questions and provided the relative documents but now when I open the app I only get the screen to&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; "&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Create a myGovID&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have deleted the app as I was instructed to,&amp;nbsp; started again which I tried to do several times, but&amp;nbsp; it did not ask for documents&amp;nbsp; and now&amp;nbsp; it only comes back to the&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Create a myGovID&lt;/STRONG&gt;. screen&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do I fix this.&amp;nbsp; I went&amp;nbsp; into into the &lt;STRONG&gt;Relationshop&amp;nbsp; Authorisation Manager &lt;/STRONG&gt;but&amp;nbsp;when I do this it tries to send my mobile&amp;nbsp; a&amp;nbsp; 4 digit code&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;by my&amp;nbsp; mobile will not open up so I can put the 4 didget&amp;nbsp; into it.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Please Help&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>RAM problems with an employee setting up</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have recevied the following error message. I believe I have found the reason for it but am unable to fix the problem. On the employee's details page it has their email address at the bottom so I can resend their authorisation code but at the top of the page there is an item called&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;Current business email address:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;which says the email is not provided. This is different for all of my other employees who has their email here and at the bottom of the page.       <description>&lt;P&gt;If I have my own ABN &amp;amp; tax agent number while doing work for another accounting firm, how can I separate two tax agent log-in in the MyGovID app?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There would be two email accounts linked to two tax agent numbers, but you can only store one email account in the app.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does it mean that you need to get two smart phones if you have two tax agent access?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any one has this problem?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have made two posts now, and both have disappeared.&amp;nbsp; The second one persisted until I edited it and posted in some logs from an Android adb session.&amp;nbsp; The WYSIWG editore here has an 'insert code' link so I am unsure why the posts are getting deleted for containing simple logs.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been trying to report that Android 8.1.1 with MyGovId 1.4.0.0 hangs when updating the MyGovId app, rendering it unusable, as you cannot bypass the update.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can someone advise how I can provide logs to the ATO without having my post summarily deleted (there's no notification process, post just disappears)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Re-posting my post from Friday which disappeared.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have an Android 8.1.0 on aMoto G5 Plus, MyGovId v 1.4.0.0 installed and my ID verified 9/1/20. I opened the app on Friday, it advised&amp;nbsp; 'Update your app'. No option not to update.&amp;nbsp; If you choose to update then Google Play goes to 'waiting for download' and sits there forever. I have tried multiple reboots, Force Stops, etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I wish to avoid the 'uninstall reinstall' option if possible.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OK, just re-grabbed adb logs of what happens - looks like no server response?&amp;nbsp; I can provide more logs if you wish - I filtered down to just logs containing 'mygov' Ta.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;PRE&gt;2020-02-10 10:02:04.130 1620-2775/?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Our company has 70yo husband &amp;amp; wife directors - No others.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No other employees.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Small amount Directors Fees paid (hopefully) in June each year - No "wages".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Superannuation is our own SMSF.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We lodge paper Annual PAYG Statements.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We have old phones (Samsung S2) and are happy using them - No need to upgrade.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are happy with how we interact with the ATO currently and don't want to (nor need to) change.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My questions are :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) Do we really need to move to Single Touch Payroll ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) Do we need to move to myGovID ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) Are there alternatives to using smart phones ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;HELP ?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
