Hi,
I worked as a contract cleaner for a resort for 6 weeks before I decided I wasn't paid enough. That next week I had a call from ABR saying they were cancelling my ABN.
I'm pretty sure I didn't earn enough to even have to pay any tax but I need to do a return to balance my family tax benefit with Centrelink.
Do I just do a tax return online and put the ABN of the resort where I was employed?

If you were paid under your ABN then you should put that in.

Having an ABN you need to lodge a tax return if you earn more than $1.

Any particular reason why the ABR called you?

Normally it is the individual who cancels their ABN..

thanks
The business registrar guy said technically I wasn't eligible as in my circumstances I was technically an employee and should have been paid an hourly rate with tax taken out and superannuation paid. Smiley Sad
