I have lived in Australia for two years as an international student and will be moving back to Northern Europe in a couple of weeks. I've worked on an ABN (in the creative industry) this whole time and I can't seem to find an answer to if I will be able to keep my ABN and work remotely from my home country even if I don't hold an Australian visa /if I'm not physically present in the country? Some of my work can be done fully online and I'd love to keep working with some of my clients even though I'm not living in the country anymore.

You don't need an ABN to do business to Australia when you are not in Australia (in your specific context). For example I can buy something from a guy in the UK or the US or Lichtenstein and they do not need an ABN to do business with me.

The importance of an ABN is more to do with when you are operating a business within Australia.
